What Working Dogs Teach Us About UX
What do service dogs, guide dogs, therapy dogs, and other working dogs have to teach us about user experience?
Join Steel City UX Ladies at The Dog Penn for a unique evening networking and exploring how working dogs and their handlers demonstrate many of the same principles we use to create great user experiences.
We will discuss how accessibility extends beyond digital products and what designers can learn from the partnerships between working dogs and the people who rely on them.
Whether you are a UX designer, researcher, developer, accessibility advocate, dog lover, or simply curious, you will find something to enjoy. You do not need to own a dog or bring one to attend. Everyone is welcome!
We'll explore:
🐕 Different types of working dogs
🦮 How dogs and handlers communicate
♿ Accessibility and inclusive design
💡 Trust, feedback, and "invisible interfaces"
This is a relaxed, conversation-driven event designed to bring together people who are passionate about UX, design and accessibility.
