Crafting UIs with Disabilities in Mind
No matter the specific role you fill (visual, interaction, UX researcher), designers are a quintessential component to providing access to the magical world of the web. Research has shown that about two-thirds of all accessibility defects can be found in the design phase, which makes the design process a critical component in preventing barriers and reducing harm for disabled users.
Tori Clark has been an accessibility professional for over 8 years, bringing her lifelong passion for disability rights to the magical world of the web. Raised by teachers, she believes that accessibility education and awareness can be seeded at every stage of product development and loves to see that knowledge blossom. This led her to found Digital A11ies, an emerging nonprofit which will provide engaging education and other services at a grassroots level with the goal of normalizing an accessible web.
Although registration for this virtual event is FREE, we appreciate your support for Digital A11ies! Please consider donating using the following link: Donate to Digital A11ies
